Cactus Communications

January 23, 2019

Cactus Communications is proud to announce that it has been named among the top 20 on FlexJobs’ global list of the Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2019. This list is based on an analysis of over 51,000 companies and their remote job posting histories in the FlexJobs database. To be considered, the jobs offered by these companies had to be remote-friendly, either allowing for candidates to telecommute entirely or part of the time. Overall, the list represents more than 15 industries and are headquartered across 11 different countries.

CACTUS has been featured among the top 20 companies for the past four years. The scholarly communications company has always believed in engaging the brightest academic editors and translators across the globe. It has used workplace flexibility to not only overcome geographical constraints but also to get the best output from its freelancers and contractors.

“We are proud to be recognized by FlexJobs once again as a leader in freelance and remote job opportunities,” said Daniel Rosario, AVP, Editorial Talent Acquisition. “Contractual and telecommute arrangements enable us to find the most suitable academic editors and translators across the globe so that our clients’ documents are always placed in the hands of the right expert. At the same time, our contractors and freelancers enjoy greater flexibility and variety than they would in an office-based role, which makes it a win-win for everyone.”

In 2019, CACTUS is offering several contractual opportunities in academic editing across fields such as medicine, life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and the humanities.

In addition, the company has many opportunities for freelance translators in language pairs such as Japanese<>English, Korean<>English, and Chinese<>English.

“As we saw in the latter part of 2018, we expect 2019 to continue to be a job seeker’s market where companies will need to offer flexible/remote benefits to remain competitive and attract and retain the best talent,” said Sara Sutton, founder and CEO of FlexJobs. “As this list demonstrates, companies of all sizes and across all industries can adopt work-from-home and flexible work policies to meet the changing demands of the workforce,” Sutton concluded.
