Beijing International Book Fair 2026

Team CACTUS attended the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair, connecting with publishers and industry leaders from across the global publishing community. With AI, digital publishing and the evolving role of content at the heart of many conversations, the fair offered an opportunity to exchange perspectives on how technology is reshaping publishing and explore new possibilities for collaboration across markets.

SSP 48th Annual Meeting 2026

CACTUS attended SSP’s 48th Annual Meeting in Chula Vista, San Diego, joining the scholarly publishing community for conversations around AI, research integrity, peer review and the evolving future of publishing. At the CACTUS booth, we loved catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and exchanging perspectives with industry peers. A highlight was CACTUS receiving not one, but two SSP EPIC Awards: one for SmartScreen by Paperpal Preflight and another for the AGU Author Video Series by Editage Digital Media Solutions (DMS). Amid the industry conversations, an AirPod giveaway brought a little extra fun to the booth.

Researcher to Reader Conference 2026

At Researcher to Reader 2026, Nikesh Gosalia, Chief Partnership Officer at CACTUS, delivered a widely appreciated session examining bias, accountability, and representation in AI through a compelling realworld lens. The talk sparked thoughtful discussion on the implications of AI training data and the responsibility of publishers as AI becomes embedded in research workflows.

Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

Team CACTUS attended the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, connecting with publishers, technology partners and industry leaders from across the global scholarly publishing ecosystem. Our booth welcomed a strong turnout, with live AI demonstrations sparking conversations around responsible AI, research integrity, author support and the future of publishing. The fair provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen existing partnerships and explore new collaborations. Visitors also stopped by to enjoy refreshments and champagne.

Peer Review Congress 2025

Team CACTUS participated in the International Congress on Peer Review and Scientific Publication 2025 in Chicago, engaging with the community on strengthening research integrity and editorial workflows. Our experts connected with publishers on scalable, expertled peer review services, and shared insights through a poster presentation on hybrid human–AI approaches to postreview processes.

World Conference on Research Integrity (WCRI) 2024

At WCRI 2024, CACTUS engaged with the global research integrity community to exchange perspectives on maintaining trust and rigor in scholarly publishing. Building on industry discussions, we shared insights from our Research Integrity survey, exploring how a balanced blend of human expertise and AI can strengthen integrity checks at scale.
