A new website to support China’s growing researcher community

Christine Hu

General Manager, Greater China

Amid global economic uncertainties, China has continued to post impressive growth and deliver prosperity and stability for the world market. Much of China’s accomplishment can be attributed to its unwavering and increasing emphasis on scientific research and technology. This fits perfectly with the global pattern: how countries leverage their academic prowess has a profound impact on their economic prosperity and the quality of life of their citizens.

When CACTUS entered China in 2012, we built a team with the mission to serve researchers’ needs and establish CACTUS as a trusted partner to over 1.5 million Chinese researchers.

China has overtaken the United States as the largest producer of scientific articles. Given such a high volume, China, more than any other country, would benefit from professional scientific communication and technology solutions. There’s an immense need to ensure that every high-impact research coming out of the country gets due attention and makes an impact. The growth of scientific research in emerging economies like China is crucial not only for these countries but for the entire world. CACTUS understands this and has been committed to accelerating research in China for the past 8 years.

CACTUS, which has over 18 years of experience in scientific communications and now also offers technology solutions, has always been dedicated to the cause of researchers. When the pandemic broke out last year, CACTUS China was one of the first companies to offer pro bono translation and editing services to researchers working on COVID-19 research.

The research landscape is becoming increasingly complex and a multitude of players are growing and evolving at a phenomenal rate. To make true impact, we are extending our solutions to all players, with researchers still at the core.

The addition of a host of solutions over the years has kept CACTUS at the forefront of researcher service. And it gives me immense pleasure to announce the launch of our new CACTUS corporate site that makes all these solutions available to our customers on one integrated platform.

We hope that the new website will enable our customers to explore services beyond the translation and editing services offered under our flagship brand Editage. Customers will have access to premium scientific communication, training, and technology solutions – all on one platform and just one click away.

I invite all of you to visit cactusglobal.com/ch/ and experience our integrated services, or reach out to us on hezuo@cactusglobal.com for academic and business partnerships.
