Indonesia Research Summit 2.1: Editage and Universitas Airlangga collaborate to accelerate global research impact

Editage, the flagship brand of Cactus Communications, in partnership with Universitas Airlangga, one of Indonesia’s top-ranking universities, successfully co-hosted the Indonesia Research Summit 2.1 on 8 July 2025 at Hotel Harris Gubeng, Surabaya, Indonesia. Centered on the theme “Driving Global Research Impact Through Strategic Publication & Technological Innovation,” the day-long summit brought together influential voices from Indonesia’s research ecosystem to explore emerging research trends and strategies for enhancing global impact and visibility.

The event welcomed over 85 participants, including researchers, faculty deans, and senior decision-makers representing more than 75 universities across Indonesia. Distinguished speakers included officials from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology; the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); Universitas Diponegoro; and Universitas Airlangga.

The primary objective of the summit was to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue among leading stakeholders including researchers, academic leaders, funders, and policymakers to drive actionable insights for advancing the global presence of Indonesian research. The event also served as an important opportunity to reinforce Editage’s thought leadership in the region and unlock new avenues for strategic collaboration.
