ScienceTalks by Cactus Communications (CACTUS) recently launched a weekly podcast series named, ‘All Things SciComm’. In this podcast, hosted by Nikesh Gosalia, Senior Vice President—Global Academic & Publisher Relations, CACTUS will collaborate with industry experts and change-makers to address the future of science and science communication. The podcast series will cover important conversations around research funding, publication technology, sci-tech policy, sustainable development goals, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and many more.
Speaking on the launch, Abhishek Goel, CEO and Co-Founder, CACTUS, said, “Technology and communication styles are evolving the way people access and engage with science. This podcast will explore some of the most important ideas with industry experts and disruptors on how they are dealing with this and how they see things panning out. We wish such conversations continued success.” David is also a Cambridge history graduate who has invented EUROLEX (1980–1985), UK’s first online publishing service for lawyers.
The other guests at All Things SciComm will include personalities like Dr. Marie Soulière, Head of Publishing Projects, Frontiers, a PhD holder in Chemical & Computational Biology who is part of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Council Members which works towards improving ethical practices in the publishing culture, Martina Ribar Hestericová, Science Communications Manager, Lonza, a freelance science journalist, and polyglot with a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Basel, Elodie Chabrol, International Director of Pint of Science and Freelancer Science Communication Consultant and many such notable industry experts.
