Addressing the STAP incident, which was one of the biggest research misconduct cases in recent years in Japan, Prof. Kishi, the leading investigator of the STAP research fraud at Riken, discussed and answered questions on the challenges faced by the research community in Japan, including problems faced by young researchers, which leads to immense pressures and misconduct.
