We contribute to the following SDGs

SDG 1: No Poverty

We support the UN's vision of eradicating poverty by 2030. We provide stable employment opportunities with a 20% annual growth rate in India and organize initiatives such as the Joy of Giving Week to support low-income and marginalized groups.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being

We look after our employees across geographies by making available health plans and encouraging healthy eating, exercising, and physical and mental fitness through fun, interactive programs. We enforce a no-smoking policy within premises and actively promote programs to help quit smoking. We offer Telecommute and Flexitime work options to help employees maintain a healthy work-life integration. We host blood donation drives, mobilize donations for people in difficult medical conditions, and participate in some of the biggest marathons to support social causes.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

Gender equality is never part of the discussion; it is ingrained in our culture. We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of gender discrimination. Our female leadership ratio is 43%. Along similar lines, we foster a safe, violence-free workplace where bullying and sexual harassment are prohibited. Our commitment to women's safety has won us recognition as one of the Top 10 Safe Places To Work 2019.

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

We leverage science, technology, and language to build pathways for world-changing research. We do this by supporting researchers, institutes, and publishers in their publication journey, help them get funding, and communicate their research with the rest of the world. We also provide technology solutions to address the challenges faced by stakeholders. Our team of around 3000 experts from around the world have helped over 430,000 authors publish around 1.2 million papers.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

We are committed to engage in meaningful and sustainable partnerships. We have in the past organized a Purchase for a Cause event in association with the Aseema Charitable Trust and the Helen Keller Institute for the Deaf and Deafblind. We partner with NGOs and carry out volunteering activities like beach cleanups. We also engage in the Vision India Foundation Fellowship, a 3-year full-time program on nation building, which is designed for aspiring public leaders and thinkers to make an impact.
