Cactus Communications is seeking a UX/ UI Designer to craft thoughtful, beautiful, and engaging product experiences across web and mobile devices. The role is dynamic and involves working with across different product experiences - customer transactional workflows, customer engagement features, and inhouse task/ efficiency focused workflows. You will also have an opportunity to learn about and design for South-East Asian users in Japan, China and Korea which are a key customer demographic.

We are hosted completely on Amazon cloud and employ multiple technologies - angularJS, Laravel, PHP, Drupal, Solr, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, nodejs, mongodb, python, ansible, graylog, and new relic.

Conceptualize design solutions to real-world user and business problems.
Drive UX tasks related to prototyping, usability testing and other user research activities (surveys, interviews, questionnaires, etc).
Produce user-centred and high-quality visual designs for web and mobile product experiences.
Create and deliver visual assets (logos, icons, etc) as required by front-end teams for the implementation of the designs.
Work with development teams to implement designs, review and refine interactions.
Create, maintain and advance a cohesive style guide and ensure a consistent design language is applied across the product.
Design visual assets for product marketing and deployment.
Conduct analyses of competitor product designs and reference industry best practices for new product designs/ features.
You fit the bill if you
Own the UX/ UI strategy, justify your ideas and influence change when needed.
Have a propensity for clean, simplified design balanced with tasteful visual design details.
Have a general understanding of how design impacts development (and vice versa) to ensure technical feasibility of designs.
Proficient with design and prototyping tools Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, Invision.
Have an awareness of the design process, design best practices and industry trends.
Can manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
Some of our requirements
Minimum 3-years relevant work experience.
Strong portfolio that demonstrates past work of user-centred and high quality visual design solutions.
(Bonus) Degree in design Graphic design/ Web design/ Interaction design.
(Bonus) Formal exposure to usability and HCI guidelines.
